Attorney ProfilesDavid Lloyd Merrill | Email David Lloyd Merrill has lived in Florida since 1973 and has been a bankruptcy practitioner since 1996. He has filed thousands of personal and business bankruptcy cases across the state of Florida and in New Jersey, and has been involved in complex bankruptcy matters throughout the Southeastern United States. In addition to having been involved in Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 filings, as an active trial and appellate attorney David has extensive experience trying bankruptcy adversary proceedings representing debtors and creditors including Citibank, Sears National Bank, Diner's club and other large institutional lenders. His appellate experience includes appearances before the Eleventh Circuit Court as well as a petition to the United States Supreme Court. In addition to his bankruptcy practice, over the last several years David has also provided consultative services to the financial services industry relating to federal and state regulatory compliance. David earned his B.B.A. in 1990 from Stetson University. He received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School - Camden in 1996, where he was on the Dean's List and a member of the National Tax Moot Court Team. |
