Family Law

Jeffrey Wasserman heads the firm's Family Law practice group. He is the former Chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar (2000-2001) and the former Chair of the Florida Bar Family Law Rules Committee (2004-2005). He is currently serving on the Florida Supreme Court Family Law Forms Workshop which he Chaired in 2007 and 2008. He is an "AV"-rated lawyer by Martindale Hubbell -- the highest possible rating. Mr. Wasserman is listed as a "Top Lawyer" in the 2009 South Florida Legal Guide and has been recognized as a "Super Lawyer" in the 2009 Florida Super Lawyers Magazine.

Named partner Michael Gora has been certified by The Board of Legal Specialization of The Florida Bar as a Specialist in Matrimonial and Family Law. He has practiced in South Florida for over thirty years, and is the past President of The South Palm Beach County Bar Association (2003-2004) and the Past Chairman of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce (2001-2002). He writes a weekly column on matrimonial law for the Boca Raton News.

Brenda Abrams is of counsel to the firm and a member of the Family Law practice group. She is a former Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary/Treasurer and Executive Council Member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. From 1986 through 2002 she was certified by The Board of Legal Specialization of The Florida Bar as a Specialist in Matrimonial and Family Law. She currently is a certified mediator in family law and is a certified matrimonial arbitrator. She is a fellow of the Florida chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys, and has served in that organization on the Board of Managers and as chair of the Amicus Committee. She also is a frequent author and lecturer on family law issues

Associate Amy Eichman rounds out the firm's Family Law practice group.
