Jeffrey Wasserman heads the firm’s Family Law practice group. He is the former Chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar (2000-2001) and the former Chair of the Florida Bar Family Law Rules Committee (2004-2005). He is currently serving on the Florida Supreme Court Family Law Forms Workshop which he Chaired in 2007 and 2008. Mr. Wasserman has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as an “AV” rated lawyer for many years; is recognized in Who’s Who; and has consistently been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” in South Florida Legal Guide and as a “Super Lawyer by Super Lawyer’s Magazine.
Brenda Abrams is Of Counsel to the firm and a member of the Family Law practice group. She has dedicated her career to the practice of family law. Brenda is a fellow of the Florida chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys. She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 1987 through the present as well as South Florida Best Lawyers; she has consistently been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by Super Lawyer’s Magazine, and has been named as a Top Lawyer in Florida. She is an “AV” preeminent rated lawyer in Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating that can be given. She has lectured extensively in the area of Family Law, and is Past Chair of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar. She was adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law for more than 10 years and at Nova Southeastern Law School, teaching courses on Family Law Litigation and Collection of Judgments.
Jennifer Shafer rounds out the firm’s Family Law practice group. Ms. Shafer takes pride in providing straight-forward legal advice while being mindful that family law matters are inherently stressful and highly sensitive in nature. Ms. Shafer recognizes these matters often require a higher level of personal attention and is dedicated to assisting her clients through these difficult times.

In fact, Mr. Wasserman is trained in Collaborative Law to assist those clients interested in a less litigious approach to resolving their case.
